The Journal
Welcome! This is, really, where it all happens. The juicy details. More importantly, the core of our engagement: telling stories that hopefully inspire others to reconnect with nature, to care and act with kindness, to inform and to interpret concerning or exciting developments in the world of travel and conservation. Passionate about words and intertwining them into narratives, here you’ll find our notes, our adventure log and experiences. The Odysseia Blog is something we’re really proud of, and we hope will bring a bit of safari insight and experience to your hands.
Written Stories
Second, only to the age of songs that were sung to youths in order to ensure worthy stories would last the ages, the written word has captivated, enchanted, delighted, agitated, horrified, educated and inspired people for millennia of their past, present and future. It is a doorway into what is happening in the world around you and maybe even a window into a world where your imagination can run its course. Here is our window, for all to look through, into stories of wild places, wild things, amazing experiences, critical issues and so much more.
Video Highlights
Not everyone is into reading, we get that, some want to see it. To condense stories or experiences into emotive, visually captivating and educational video clips so that one simply has to press play in order to be transported to a place. Here we exhibit some of Odysseia’s favourite experiences, projects and places to visit through creative video production. The new world of storytelling but in honour of the very oldest stories ever told and in the way they moved, inspired and enchanted those who read them.
“Such was I in the fighting; but labor was never dear to me, nor care for my house, though that is what raises glorious children, but ships that were driven on by oars were dear to me always, and the wars, and throwing spears with polished shafts, and the arrows, gloomy things, which to other men are terrible, and yet those things were dear to me which surely some god had put there in my heart” – Odysseus – The Odyssey, Book XIV
