Then, from the misty savannahs and towering forests of Lopé, we head to Loango, along the Akaka river to enjoy what the dry season has to offer: endless forest wildlife of all sorts gathering to the river banks in search of precious water. We will trek Western lowland gorilla, as well as search the magnificent forest for chimpanzees, Forest elephants, Red river hogs and other forest-dwelling creatures.

For those wanting an extra dose of wilderness, an add-on at the start of the trip to the mythical Ivindo National Park is optional (exploring Kongou Falls & Langoué Baï). Raw, wild and for the adventure and nature-lovers, this is one of our most exciting odysseys!

Ngorongoro & Serengeti Safari

Endless plains - Great Migration - Iconic Out of Africa - big cats

From $9 500ppsh/11 000ss

One of our most tried and tested itineraries, always with great success, this trip should definitely be on your bucket-list!

This odyssey begins in the magical Ngorongoro Crater, where we travel daily down the old and fascinating geological walls of the crater itself, towering above you ever so more as you descend towards the caldera. The crater-floor plays host to some of Africa’s highest game densities for certain species: lion numbers are extraordinary, large elephant bulls aplenty, alongside black rhino, hyena, buffalo in the thousands and plains game. If you’re lucky enough, a leopard in the mysterious forest of the crater rim may just grace you with its presence. Leaving that behind us, we head for the central Serengeti where we bear witness to this lands birth name, the ‘endless plains’. As far as the eye can see this grassland is only broken by megalithic outcrops that house impressive populations of lion, leopard and cheetah. A photographer’s or safari goer’s paradise!

Okavango & Kalahari Epic

Paradisiacal delta - desert landscapes & wildlife - mokoro safaris - highly trained guides - helicopter safaris - incredible game viewing

From TBC

No gallery of Africa’s finest destinations is complete without a dedication to the wilderness scapes of Botswana. Namely, the paradisiacal and endless labyrinth of crystal clean channels, palm belts, mopane groves, all teeming with wildlife, that is the Okavango Delta. In contrast, but by no means a lesser place, we have the vast and dry expanse of the Kalahari. Enchanting salt pans as far as the eye can see, charismatic meerkats, those inky-stary nights filled with magic and some unique wildlife encounters not to be found elsewhere.

We begin this safari with a combination of two camps of the Okavango Delta, one to the far south and the other to the far north. Both quite different but what they have in common is superb guiding, excellent game viewing, extremely friendly and professional staff and a window into the magical Okavango that none can rival.

Once the watery extravaganza of the Delta is behind us, we head for three nights to the Kalahari. Meerkats, sleeping upon the salt pans, getting lost in the limitless skies of the desert and searching for unique sightings that only these dry landscapes can offer is our final treat before this epic commences.

Great Apes Odyssey

chimpanzee trekking - tree climbing lions of ishasha - giant forest hogs - gorilla trekking

From $10 500ppsh/$11 900ss

You have to see them to believe it, to feel it, the life-changing impacts an encounter with the great apes can have on you. This safari focuses on two species of great apes (with a plethora of smaller cousins in-between): the Eastern chimpanzee and the Mountain gorilla.

We kick things off, though, with a visit to the secret Mabamba swamp to find and observe the prehistoric shoe-billed stork, a wonder for lovers of the feather and even those who aren’t. Then we travel to the enchanting Kibale forest where we trek for chimpanzees – just a few minutes are enough to impart a profound sense of awe and appreciation. These apes are renowned to drift easily between calm and peaceful interactions with each other to absolute mayhem, it only takes a few individuals together to shake the forest out of its apparent slumber and send chills down your spine. Leaving one forest to another we pass through the fascinating Queen Elizabeth National park to search for tree climbing lions, amongst other attractions such as giant forest hogs, leopard and elephant.

Lastly, we end with a bang, and head for Bwindi Impenetrable forest where we trek for mountain gorillas. See these animals so close and in their natural environment has had large impacts on all those who have visited. Like we said, you have to see it to believe it!

Zambia is home for us, and home to some of the most beautiful experiences to be had on safari on the African continent.
